Local and cultural sensitivities are what we tend to think of when we contemplate adapting training materials to other countries. But even in the U.S., laws, norms, and mores may vary — sometimes greatly — from state to state.  

These local sensitivities and country-specific concepts are reflected in the adaptation of both graphics and text, as well as in the proper use of dates, addresses, phone numbers, other text formats, and many other communications elements.
